Are you a christian?

I was thinking about what we believe to be true and how it is validated. The truth of a parent's love is assured because of their care affection and protection throughout a child's life. As a child, we know it is true. At one time, w thought the world was flat. But scientists proved the earth was round. When it comes to Christian belief and faith – many struggle with its truth. Until we research, test and explore, we cannot make valid decisions. My exploration has found the Trinity to be true.

I don't know when I hoped Jesus was true; maybe at the age of ten. I would pray and pray but as a human, I expected answers right away. Little did I know that I was learning patience, fortitude, kindness, respect and lessons to help others in years to come.

Many people know when they were saved. I don't. I know that it was in the summer and possibly in 1974. My memory is not one of my strong points. I also know that it did not happen between me and another person, I was watching the 700 Club and I went down on my knees and I cried out to Ben Kinslow (one of the hosts) and said I want to be saved! I recited the salvation prayer with him and have never been the same.

On the day that that happened I went from hoping Jesus was true – to knowing Jesus was true. You ask me how and I have to tell you that he came into my heart and gave me peace. I followed Jesus fervently for four years and then went in and out of living for Him.

It reminds me of a story I read recently.

"One day an old man was sitting quietly enjoying the sun with his dog. Suddenly a large white rabbit ran in front of them. Well, his dog jumped up, and took off after that big rabbit. He chased the rabbit over the hills with a passion. Soon, other dogs joined him, attracted by his barking. What a sight it was, as the pack of dogs ran barking across the creeks, up stony embankments and through thickets and thorns! Gradually, however, one by one, the other dogs dropped out of the pursuit, discouraged by the course and frustrated by the chase. Only his dog continued to hotly pursue the white rabbit.''
He was telling his story to a younger man. "In that story, young man, is the answer to your question.''
The young man sat in confused silence. Finally, he said, "Brother, I don't understand. What is the connection between the rabbit chase and the quest for God?"
"You fail to understand," answered the well-seasoned old man, "because you failed to ask the obvious question. Why didn't the other dogs continue on the chase? And the answer to that question is that they had not SEEN the rabbit. Unless you see the prey, the chase is just too difficult. You will lack the passion and determination necessary to keep up the chase."
There are many Christians who do as I; start my Christian walk and it takes years to understand that is a journey to know, feel and understand the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and how they are one. To know them as the Trinity.

To make this journey as a believer in Christ, you have asked for the Holy Spirit to enter your life and guide you. The Holy Spirit has to be more than a concept or taught doctrine. It must a daily relationship with the Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A personal relationship with Him and His spirit provides this..
When I have read the Bible before I knew the Holy Spirit, nothing really clicked. You read the Word, you listen to others but you do not get the true spiritual understanding of the Bible until the Holy Spirit illuminates it. 1 Corinthians 2:12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
If you read in 1 Peter 2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
I do not want to be categorized as someone who goes to Church, can't do wrong (because everyone does), doesn't like non-believers or goes to Church to appear moral. I go to praise God with other believers. To rally in our joy for having the Holy Spirit within us and the miraculous love and protection He gives and to learn
I am a believe in Christ who has head and heart knowlesge.
Richard Wurmbrandt, author of "Tortured For Christ" once said, "The Bible is the truth about the Truth, it is NOT the Truth. Jesus is THE TRUTH." Jesus promised to send HIS Spirit to lead us into ALL Truth, that is, Himself.
So I want you to know that I can not see Him but I experience Him daily. My stepdaughter recently died and the weather was awful and I prayed to my Lord and asked if he could make the sun shine for the burial of my beloved stepdaughter and it did and I knew it would.
I have asked for peace for myself and my husband during illness, poverty and pain and he renews our spirits daily. I once climbed a tree to get my son's cat (the cat only goes up and never comes down). We once called the fire department. I climbed the tree and cried out, “Lord, bring my cat down to me.” The cat immediately tuned and jumped down to me. All of these are my miracles but others have witnessed them. I praise God when they do because I want to reflect his love for fellow man and have others know that he is a loving God, full of hope, peace, charity, righteousness
